S'phongo began writing in 2013 in Matobo, Zimbabwe. By 2018 he was running open mic series in Harare. By 2022 he was on stages in Italy, France, Belgium, and Ivory Coast u2014 and winning slam titles on three continents. The poetry never stopped. It moved into the DJ sets, the events, the spaces he builds.

European tour: Italy, France, Belgium, Ivory Coast. Debut chapbook Trials published. u00d3 Bhu00e9al International Poetry-Film Competition shortlist (Thru Hell). Three slam titles from three countries.
2023
Won inaugural Utterance Worldwide Slam, Sunrose Arts Festival UK. Italy again (poetry + DJ set). Featured on BBC CWR.
